No shins! No shins!!

The problem with computers is they have no shins.

I really wanted to kick my computer in the shins after it went all screwy just a day after I’d finished installing everything and changing all my settings and getting everything just so.

So I wiped the slate clean and started all over again.

It’s all going good now. Everything is running smooth like it never happened. almost.

I was going to get back to work as I haven’t written a thing for a couple of days, but I was too engrossed in my book.

Gateway Cover

I finished reading Gateway by Frederik Pohl today, I spent most of the morning entrenched in the last third of the book. It was awesome. Completely different from what I’d expected. From the synopsis I expected some swash-buckling action packed adventure but instead got the tragic tale of a cowardly anti-hero.

I’m going to have to get the rest of the series now. I want to know the future of Old Robinette.

I have a few too many hours at my day job this week, sad to say. But I’m going to try and finish the short story I’m working on. (sheesh! how long have I been working on this one now?)

Also I’ve had a few ideas for my novel that might see it moving in the right direction.

Welcome to Jeremy Boland Dot Com.

This is my brain.

Don't be afraid. Everything will be just fine.

Just sit back and enjoy the journey into the seriously mundane and trivially obscure regions of my conciousness for all the penguin references you can handle
